This tool focuses on the rental contract behind a route: country permission, one-way return, coverage, road-charge responsibility and return evidence. It is not a general border decision tool.

Ask the rental company, broker, insurer and authority for current answers. Keep contracts, written permission, receipts, messages and handover photos separately.

1. Freeze the contract scope

List pickup, drop-off and every country crossed. Save the contract or written approval with vehicle, driver, date and one-way conditions.

2. Separate money from permission

Record cross-border, one-way and extra-driver fees in the quoted currency. Track road-charge responsibility separately.

3. Close the return trail

Capture the return branch, inspection, mileage, fuel, damage and receipt evidence. Set a review time for pending answers or later charges.

Does this tool check whether a rental car may cross a border?

No. It is a private worksheet, not a live rule checker. Record the company’s written permission and official guidance; general driving permission does not override the rental contract.

Why does a zero fee still require evidence?

Zero may mean free, included, waived or unconfirmed. A payment or account reference distinguishes an evidenced zero from an empty field.

What should I enter for insurance and roadside assistance?

Use the territory stated by the provider, including limitations, deductibles and partner restrictions. Limited, unknown or excluded coverage stays out of Ready.

Can I use this for a one-way drop-off in another country?

Yes, as a record-keeping worksheet. Capture written approval, fee, receiving branch and handover evidence. It does not book a branch.

How are duplicate and conflict records detected?

Matching company, contract, locations, direction, time window and vehicle identity form a group. Different answers mean conflict; identical records are duplicates and excluded from Ready.

Does the worksheet upload or save my rental details?

No. It uses no network request, backend, localStorage or sessionStorage. Reset clears the form; printing is handled by your browser.
