Rental equipment worksheet

Confirm the child seat before pickup

Record the child’s measurements, the exact seat or booster, provider availability, money and pickup evidence before the vehicle leaves the branch.

Browser-only worksheet

Build a child-seat reservation record

Use one record for each booking, vehicle and child-seat request. Keep the provider’s written answer beside the fit check and the pickup inspection.

Runs in this browser only. No network, API, localStorage or sessionStorage.

Important boundary This worksheet organises answers and evidence. It cannot certify child restraint safety, reserve equipment, interpret provider terms or replace an in-person inspection.

Bookings

Reservation and equipment records

Add another record for a different booking, child, route, equipment category or provider answer. Identical records stay blocked until compared.

Printing opens the browser print dialog. This page does not save a copy.

Use with care

The provider and the restraint maker still control

Rental companies may describe equipment differently, limit quantities, charge at the branch or make availability conditional. Keep the exact provider wording and the seat maker’s fit limits.

At pickup, inspect the actual restraint and ask for installation guidance. A completed worksheet cannot confirm that a particular seat is safe for a particular child or vehicle.

01

1. Identify the exact request

Record the booking, vehicle, child measurements, category and quantity so a generic “child seat” promise cannot hide a mismatch.

02

2. Separate fit from availability

A seat can fit the child but still be unavailable, unreserved, unpaid or not permitted by the provider. Keep each answer separate.

03

3. Inspect before leaving

Confirm the supplied equipment, condition, evidence and fallback at pickup before accepting the vehicle and starting the journey.

Questions

Rental extras and child-seat FAQs

Does a confirmed child-seat reservation prove that the seat fits my child?

No. Confirmation covers the provider’s reservation, not the restraint maker’s current age, height and weight limits. Record the measurements and verify the actual equipment at pickup.

Why are age, height and weight all recorded?

Different restraints use different limits, and age alone can hide a height or weight mismatch. Keep the units and the source of the fit decision together.

What is the difference between permission and availability?

Permission means the provider allows the request under its terms. Availability means the branch can allocate the requested equipment. Both need confirmation before a record can be Ready.

Can I enter a fee of zero?

Yes, when the quote, rental terms or provider message confirms a zero fee. Keep the payment or inclusion evidence; an empty amount is not a confirmed zero.

Why does the tool stay open when pickup is not confirmed?

A reservation can change before collection, and the supplied seat can be missing, damaged or different. Keep the record open until the actual equipment and condition are checked.

Does the planner upload child or booking details?

No. It runs locally in this browser and does not upload data or use localStorage or sessionStorage. Use a private label instead of unnecessary sensitive identity or payment numbers.
