POST-RENTAL REVIEW

Reconcile the fuel or charge line before it becomes a surprise

Bring the handover readings, contract target, receipts and final provider charge into one neutral review trail.

Compare readings, receipts and the final charge

Use one record for each rental contract and return. Keep fuel and charging adjustments separate when the provider uses different invoices or currencies.

Runs in this browser only. Nothing is uploaded, sent to a service or kept as an account record.

Scope boundary This is an organising worksheet, not a contract interpretation, billing decision or promise that a provider will refund a charge. The rental agreement, signed return record and current provider statement control.

Rental fuel and charge records

Add a separate record when the rental company, fuel supplier, charging network or card statement uses a different reference. An incomplete, unknown, overdue, duplicate or conflicting record cannot be Ready.

Printing opens the browser print dialog. This page does not create a saved copy.

A neat comparison is not a billing decision

Fuel and charging disputes often mix a contract target, two dashboard readings, a pump or network receipt, a provider invoice and a card transaction. Record each source separately so a plausible total does not hide a missing reading or a second charge.

This page stays local to the current browser view and does not submit your case. Do not enter full card numbers or identity-document numbers. Confirm the final amount, refund path and responsibility with the rental company or provider.

1. Freeze the handover evidence

Record the pickup and return readings in the same unit, with timestamps and photos or receipts. Note who supplied each reading.

2. Read the target literally

Full-to-full, same-reading and provider-adjusted contracts create different comparisons. Keep an unknown target open rather than guessing from a common rental practice.

3. Separate charge from responsibility

A provider invoice can be real while the responsibility is disputed. Track the statement, evidence, next review and fallback as separate decisions.

Rental fuel and charge reconciliation FAQs

Is this a fuel-cost calculator?

No. A fuel-cost calculator estimates a trip from distance and consumption. This planner compares the actual rental handover readings, contract target, receipts and provider statement after a vehicle is returned.

Can I compare litres, percentages and kWh in one record?

No. Use the same unit for pickup and return. A percentage, a dashboard gauge, litres and kWh are different measurements; if the contract or evidence does not reconcile them, leave the record blocked and ask the provider.

What does full-to-full mean here?

It is only a label for the contract target in this worksheet. Confirm the exact wording, fuel type, return tolerance, receipt rules and any provider refuelling fee in the rental agreement before treating a shortfall as a valid charge.

Why do I need a provider invoice reference?

A card transaction or map price does not show what the rental provider calculated. The invoice, statement or written basis connects the amount to the contract and gives you something specific to query.

Does Ready mean I should accept the charge?

No. Ready only means the worksheet has the required facts, evidence references, responsibility and next review. It does not decide whether a contract clause is enforceable or whether a refund is owed.

Does the planner send or store my rental information?

No. It makes no network request and has no account or upload workflow. Reset clears the visible records, while printing is handled by your browser.
